About this listen
But doubts are soon raised. Bryan's laptop has gone missing - could the murder be connected to a biography he was writing on the life and mysterious death of 50s screen legend Stella Leonard? Convinced there's a link, Bryan's sister Lesley sets out to prove that Bryan had uncovered a dangerous truth.
But soon both Lesley and Helen Walker find themselves victims of the violence that swirls around them, as gradually the investigation uncovers the secrets of a family corrupted by lust, wealth and power.

annoying softly fluctuating narrator's voice
Book returned. The narrator's voice goes gently up and done and doesn't make much differentiation between characters and narration either. I lost track of what was happening, of who said what and had to go back and had to stopped and return the bool. The voice was slightly going up at end of too many sentences and the narrator's tone of voice just got more on my nerves... I don't think I reached past 2 hours listening.
I can't tell much about the story, not a bad one it seems, overall i'd give 2.5 max.

I didn’t care what happened
A convoluted story which felt like it had been mapped out with the bits filled in in the middle. I couldn’t work out any links between the storylines which I suppose was probably the plan but it felt so obscure until the last bit, by which time I didn’t care. None of the characters were particularly appealing, and I found the story a bit of a damp squib.
I don’t dislike the narrator, but I didn’t feel it was his best performance although the bonus was he didn’t whisper menacingly, which he does a lot of his narrated work
It was quite good to go to sleep to because the story didn’t hold my attention, and the narrators voice is quite relaxing.
