Protect yourself against manipulation
There is so much I didn't know before reading this book. I knew that I would do things that felt uncomfortable or horrible to me so as to appease others but I always thought it was something you do if you love people. Turns out its not. This book has been hard for me to read in that I realized I have so much to unlearn, but I love it. I am still doing a lot of hard boundary setting and 'now what?' work, but I have kept this book close to my heart to refer whenever I need it.

Become Aware!
My closest friend once told me that I tend to please others. I always knew that I was being manipulated but I just gave in. This book is treasure. I definitely learned a lot. I realized a lot of things, and most of it revolves around setting boundaries and learning how to say no. I enjoyed the book especially because it highlights various types of manipulations and how to deal with it. Highly recommend this book!!

Brings up a lot of great information
I particularly enjoyed listening to this book. It focuses more on the manipulative aspects of psychology and how harmful it can be. I enjoyed the breakdown of different types of manipulations by different types of individuals. I also enjoy how it goes into the historical and modern interpretations of things like persuasion vs. manipulation and how some people can function highly in the middle ground of both.
