Summary

In the secret city of Sobek, Domin Thorne is making his way as the newly chosen semel-aten, the leader of the werepanther world. He aspires to make sweeping changes - he's set goals for himself and the people he chose to bring with him, modeling his reign after that of his friend, Logan Church. But Domin may have set too lofty a goal: His normal leadership style isn't working.

While juggling a homesick Crane, a moody Mikhail, a bullwhip-wielding Taj, servants with murderous intentions, a visiting ex, and a mate on a dangerous goodwill mission, Domin has to figure out his new role alone. He also must determine how to deal with a conspiracy, all the while falling hard for a man who, for the first time in Domin's life, reciprocates that love. Whether Domin is ready or not, Fate has stepped in to teach him a lesson: Internal threats are just as dangerous as external ones.

4th book in the series and it did not dissapoint

Where does Crucible of Fate rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is part of a series that I really love and I have re-read books 1-3 several times. I cant compare it to other audiobooks.

What did you like best about this story?

This book is intricate and exciting with a strong m/m romance story. The author has created a shifter world that so realistic, with well rounded characters.

Which character – as performed by Sean Crisden – was your favourite?

Yuri

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

when Domin first meets Jin and Logan's son

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed reading the Change of Heart series so I was thrilled that the author had continued on from the other books. The writer does know how to write a good story and keep you excited. And as a big Jin and Logan fan, it was great reading about them again. Overall, a good book.

Domin's story after the Sepat

So this is Domin's story after the Sepat and very little of Yuri and their relationship. Somehow, someway Jin had more page time than Yuri and that annoys me. Yeah we get answers when it comes to the werepanthers and everything is tied up nicely but what do we really know about Domin and Yuri's relationship and their future goals as a couple? Are they even married or hand fasted or something? Do they want kids? Nope, no news about that and very little but the basic info about how their relationship evolved from when we left them in book 3 to where we find them in book 4. Also I have to say that this wasn't one of Sean's greatest works and his accent for the Egyptian characters was abysmal.
