A road trip book with a difference. Stars of Outlander - Sam Heughan & Graham McTavish - explore Scotland, a land of raw beauty, poetry, feuding, music, history, and warfare.

Narrated by Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish, with a foreword written and read by Diana Gabaldon.

From their faithful camper van to boats, kayaks, bicycles, and motorbikes, join stars of Outlander Sam and Graham on a road trip with a difference, as two Scotsmen explore a land of raw beauty, poetry, feuding, music, history, and warfare.

Unlikely friends Sam and Graham begin their journey in the heart of Scotland at Glencoe and travel from there all the way to Inverness and Culloden battlefield, where along the way they experience adventure and a cast of highland characters. In this story of friendship, finding themselves, and whisky, they discover the complexity, rich history and culture of their native country.

A laugh out loud, entertaining listen

I really enjoyed this and I hate to admit, wasn’t expecting to. Love outlander, I live a stones throw away from castle leoch itself so I’m pretty invested in them but I never know with these types of books.

You won’t be disappointed at all, they have a great connection and their teasing each other is funny. Kept me entertained whilst I worked. Some interesting stories and some great references and insights into outlander which makes me want to rewatch and have a look to see if I can spot what they were talking about.

I particularly loved that amongst their teasing, they were serious when needed.

Haven’t seen the show yet as I can’t seem to get it yet but looking forward to it.

Lighthearted and interesting book

Really great listen both Sam and Graham brought the highlands to life,
Lost of history interspersed with comedy from both.

A Beautiful Friendship, History and Laughs!!!

Having toured the Highlands after falling in love with Diana's books I wish I looked into more of the history of the places I visited before I travelled. This book showed a beautiful friendship, lots and lots of history and plenty of lol moments. I couldn't put it down. Thank You Lady McT and our Sam loved it!!

Two Scots, clan history and a good craic

Graham McTavish and Sam Heughan tell the stories of clans in Scotland while weaving in their own personals stories at the same time. So brilliantly narrated with some real laugh out loud moments. Their friendship and sheer bromance spilling over with the banter and good natured sniping at each other.

Well done fellas.

So looking forward to watching the TV show.
