Summary

Welcome back to Willoughby Close, with four new residents and happy endings to deliver....

Belinda "Lindy" Jamison has moved to the Cotswolds for a fresh start and to open a dancing school - her lifelong dream. Pushing 40 and still looking for Mr. Right, Lindy is determined to no longer wait for happiness but to reach for it with both hands. So she packs up her life and heads south to Wychwood-on-Lea to start up her school.

Soon Lindy has a motley crew of would-be dancers. But her most intriguing pupil is Roger Wentworth, a 40-something bachelor with a shy and awkward manner, but a heart of blazing gold. When Lindy decides to showcase her pupils in a Christmas show, Roger is deeply reluctant but finally agrees. Lindy longs to bring Roger out of his shell - but she didn’t expect to fall in love with him in the process.

Soon it is Roger teaching her how two lonely hearts might be able to embrace a second chance this Christmas...if they can just believe they’re both worthy of love.

Predictable story

I enjoy listening to Christmas novels at the appropriate time of year. This one has a predictable story which took some time to reach its inevitable conclusion. I don’t understand why a novel set in the Cotswolds is narrated in an American accent. Characters’ voices were county English. Very odd!

A blooming love affair in a small English village

A really lovely story about the love affair that bloomed between a couple where one is socially awkward. At times it really stirred the emotions and in all times I was motivated to hear what came next. A sweet story in a small English village that was well narrated Recommended.

Another great edition from this series.

Yet another great listen from this series. Author, story, the characters, and the narrator were great as usual.

Sorry, but the narration just wasn’t for me

I listened write the way through this, and enjoyed the surface level storyline - I pick some books that I need to think about, and others that I can listen to without too much thought. However, I’m afraid I really didn’t enjoy the narration.

Easy listen

It's an easy listen. Nothing too taxing, although it took a while to get used to the narrator's voice.
