About this listen
The Bridgefinders have won a battle they never expected to walk away from. The Slyph has been pushed back, and now faces open rebellion from Grellnot. War is brewing on the Echo World, a war that has large implications for us. Within the Bridgefinders something rotten has taken hold, as one of their own starts down a dark path of jealousy, anger, and hate. When woman from a mysterious group known only as the Shrouded comes with a warning, her appearance proves to be a tipping point as the Bridgefinders face a new challenge, the evil within.

A good follow up to book one, and worth reading. Love that there is a chance for follow up books too. The story has good twists and turns that still kept you wanting to hear more.

Fight to the death
I loved this book. This is book two in this great series. I enjoyed book one but think I enjoyed this even more. I liked the interaction of the human world with the fantasy world and found the author's imagination and creativity on traditional creatures really added to the story and took it out of this world. I couldn't wait to read what happen next to the lead character, Cendan because the story never went in the direction you thought it was going to go. I did think at one point that this might have been the end of this great series but don't worry the author obversely plans to continue the series and what a series it is shaping up to be.
With Sal dead and only three bridgefinders left in the world to stop the Slyph from sending her creatures to destroy it. The remaining member's will need to work together to stop her or worse her creature Grellnot. The problem is Marcus is spiralling after the death of his friend and he blames Cendan, he won't give him a chance or listen to what he has to say about magic. With Marcus the leader, Cendan turns to another source for the help he needs in understanding magic and what is about to happen. At the same time the Slyph is losing control on Grellnot and he is hatching his own plan of destruction. Who will come out victorious in this battle to the death?
I much prefer this narrator to the first one and think he does a good job being the strange and I wonderful creatures to live in this book, as well as the humans.

Even better than the first one
Bridgebreakers is a fun urban fantasy that entertained me the whole time.
I really enjoyed the author's unconventional take on traditional fantasy creatures and the interaction of the human world with the fantasy world. The first book, Bridgefinders, kept me reading and so did this one. I couldn't wait to read what happen next to the lead character, Cendan.
A lot of changes happened in this book, and we learned a lot about the history of magic. So much so that the possibilities seem endless for the author for future books.
I can't wait to read what Cook writes next for Cendan and for the Bridgefinders.
Thank you to StoryOrigin for the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
