About this listen
The brand new novel from the New York Times best-selling author of Just Haven't Met You Yet and This Time Next Year.
What would you do if the one who got away turned up the night before your wedding?
Audrey is marrying Josh; steady, dependable Josh, the love of her life. They share a flat and a bank account, and it's the only relationship that Audrey's ever had that feels like something she can put her trust in. But romance should be full of fireworks, and as the big day approaches, Audrey's found herself wondering if Josh really is 'the one'.
So, when Josh's sister, Miranda, arrives at their rehearsal dinner with Fred—Audrey's 'What If? guy', the man she met six years ago and had one amazing day with but never saw again—Audrey can't help but see it as a sign.
Surely Fred's appearance the night before Audrey is due to get married can't be a coincidence. And when everything that could go wrong with the wedding starts to go wrong, Audrey has to wonder: could fate be trying to stop her from making a huge mistake?

Very cute and easy
Super easy to listen to. And was a lovely story. I sadly found Audrey a little whiney but otherwise brilliant book

*Fantasy V Reality*
Audrey is in a pickle six years ago she had one date with Fred the guy she could not forget. They had a second date planned and he never showed up but she remembers how different and excited she felt. She then packed him away as a memory.
Then she got together with Josh, he is everything Fred is not, reliable, dependable and when Josh unexpectedly proposes and they start to plan their wedding and during the rehearsal random things happen and Audrey thinks the universe is showing her one sign after another maybe Josh is not the one.
Then her sister in law to be brings a plus one to the rehearsal dinner and Audrey thinks it’s another sign and thinks Fred is the answer to what she is looking for.
Audrey ends up at a crossroads trying to weigh up if she should go through with the wedding or take a chance on Fred. What will she do? She spends so much time in her head thinking about her needs without considering what is blatantly staring her in the face….
A light easy read that was needed but the best part for me is when Audrey had to take a good look at herself.

This book would make a great rom-com.
Completely unbelievable rubbish that will have you laughing out loud. With a mother like no other 'Amy', doesn't stand a chance with 'James' but love will out! I thoroughly enjoyed this pile of drivel, great escapism for anyone looking to be distracted.

AN ENTERTAINING 3 STARS 🌟🌟🌟
This is the story of Aubrey and Josh's Wedding, 'Fred' aka 'The One that got away' turns up as Josh's Sister's date, it seems like a fantasy verses reality with another dual timeline, the author is fond of these!
Personally, I do not believe in 'The One That Got Away' as if that is the case then the person you are marrying is someone you have settled for and that is no good for either of you. I 💯% Believe in 'The One' because when you know, you really do KNOW!
I liked that even though this book was Chicklit, it dealt with an issue between mother and daughter, it was good to feel their resolution.
I liked the character of Granny Parkinson ~ every book or film needs a funny granny and this one doesn't dissapoint. Everything seems to go wrong with the wedding which are quite funny for us readers but not for the bride and groom.
The thing I did not like were the AMERICANISMS ~ this drive me bonkers considering we are in England full of British characters.
It was a book that I couldn't stop listening too, I had to keep finding out what was happening, so I finished it in 2 days😂
The narrator Emma Sidi did her job really well.
I got this listen in the current 2 for 1 credit sale and I recommend it🌠

My absolutely favorite Sophie Cousins book
The depth of characters and never quite knowing what the out come would be kept me gripped from beginning to end. I love Sophie’s ability to write and develop each character through out the book with such depth. Yes it’s funny but it also looks at the mother daughter relationship and perception. How so often we all remember things from our past so differently. I just loved it. Definite must read
