About this listen

I'll destroy them all to make her mine....

I want to forget the man I used to be. But violence just keeps calling my name. To avenge her, I'll become that savage again.

Dark.

Corrupted.

Brutal.

Hers.

She was broken by the men who took her, so now I'm going to make them bleed. I might be her savior, but I'm no valiant knight. There's only one thing I want in return for helping the girl I found in the wilderness. And that's her. Winter may not remember who she is, but she'll soon realize that the only thing she needs to be is mine. I'm the shadow of two men and the total of none, though she might be what I need to rebuild myself. So once I lay their heads at her feet, I'll cast my tattered soul down with them. And I'll paint her a happily ever after in their blood.

Fabulous

After finding out his life was one big lie Nikolai vanishes into the wilderness . He finds a half dead girl in the snow she doesn’t know her name and can’t speak so they decide on Winter. When he finds out why she is so scarred he takes revenge on the ones who did that to her . Loved this book and it was so good to hear from Rocco , Enzo & Frankie again and I’m hoping Frankie and Enzo get a book some day .

Yassss book 2!

Book 2 in this series was absolutely brilliant. This is nicoli & winter’s story jumping into the Romero family saga. It has everything, love, suspense, violence, spice and everything in between!

The Bordeaux team have once again brought these characters to life and are absolutely fantastic for these roles!

Dark, twisted mafia romance read!

Beautiful Carnage is the first instalment of the Dark Empire series which is a series of spicy, deliciously sinful dark mafia series. Kidnapping, spicy scenes, arranged marriage, rival mafia families forced proximity and heavy on the revenge plot Beautiful Carnage has everything a dark romance lover needs. As a standalone we are spared any brutal cliffhangers these girls are known for but that just means they can put all their effort into creating the most gripping read possible!

Sloan Calabresis is living aa normal a life as she can as the only daughter and mafia princess of the powerful and ruthless Calabresis family. Engaged to be married to secure an alliance with a rival faction, with no expense spared to showcase their wealth and power the last thing she expects is to be kidnapped on her wedding day. The Romero brothers are out for revenge and take Sloan as a captive. Despite her sudden captivity at a house in the middle of nowhere by a dark enemy she has never felt so free in her entire life. All it takes is being kidnapped by Rocco and his brothers to realise that how chained and controlled her old life had been. But all the Romero brothers have done is awoken a sleeping lioness, with fire in her belly Sloan never breaks, never stops trying to escape and is finally taking control and ownership of her own life and she is never going back.

Rocco is a dark, damaged and twisted soul so her easily worms his way into my heart. Raised by in his own mafia family the cruel and viciousness of their world has turned him into the blackest of sinners, add in his traumatic childhood and he is one troubled soul. Rocco keeps Sloan guessing blowing hot and cold as he fights Sloan's charms before succumbing. Stockholm Syndrome has to play a heavy part in Sloan's attraction to him, but he's also the only person to show her even the slightest kindness and human decency.

If the Twisted Sisters have a special gift for writing bringing out all sorts of emotions in their readers and helping them to establish deep connections with their characters, then Bridget and Jake has a special gift for bringing the stories they narrate to life with just their voices. Full of action-packed scenes Beautiful Carnage makes it into my top mafia romance series and I can't wait to find out what they do with the next Romero brother.

loved it

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and this one was thoroughly enjoyable too. both books have everything you need, alpha protective men, strong females, angst and determination to survive. I loved that we got Nicoli's book next, he oozed that protective nature right from the moment we met him in the first book. this book just felt like the world was waiting until it could find the right time to put Winter and Nicoli in each others path.
the narration performance was great and I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series, I hope this fantastic duo of writers don't keep us waiting too long. Bring on Fankies story, so much to unpack there.

Loved This Story!

I adored the Romero family from the first book in the series but this one was wonderful, especially as I listened to it from Bridget and Jake.

Good story

Didn’t perhaps love it as much as number 1, but still so good. I loved Winter and Nicoli, I liked that while there was never really any major drama in their relationship, the sex scenes were super hot. It was pretty cheesy, but the other drama and ciolence balances it out. Such a good storyline and while a little predictable, that didn’t detract. loved having Sloan and Rocco back. would liked to have seen more storyline with Nicoli’s father, and Winters family.

Not as good as beautiful carnage

I found it a little cringy and I felt like the twist wasn’t very shocking you kinda see it coming. I also found this book had a lot more of that cringe which I admit it sometimes necessary. I assume it was to show the difference between the two male leads. I hope the other books follow the two other brothers ! I think they’d be more interesting.
