About this listen
Impossible? Don't you mean: this should be fun?
Jack Atlas barely survived the first floor, and now the Tower’s unceremoniously booted him to the second. Even with his mana on the fritz, he’s once again given a so-called impossible task by his benefactor: conquer Broken Moon City, and claim it as his own.
The sprawling undead metropolis is where the Tower’s races collide in a blood-soaked melting pot, and no one person has ever managed to carve out their own throne. Fortunately, Jack has… let’s say allies.
Teaming up with a goblin who treats the rules of alchemy as something to be staunchly ignored, his best friend Hannah, and a handful of sketchy oddballs, the malfunctioning assassin sets out to either capture a city that’s proven impossible to conquer, or burn the place to the ground—doing his best to avoid turning everyone he meets into a lifelong enemy.
No matter what happens, Jack’s gonna enjoy doing it.

Excellent
I really like this series and this was a great book. Where in the last one there was the inevitable betrayal it was just a matter of when this story was full of surprises and twists and I was unsure what would happen next.
The pace of this book was very varied it was steady then lots of things happen or were decided at the end or without the listener knowing what was going on like the author was in a rush to finish or had a word count limit. The author should take things steady world building depends on details and the story should also unfold at a steady pace.
The characters are great and how things are done makes this series unique in a crowded genre.
The difficulty is well judged things are not too easy but also not the eternal underdog.
The narrator did a fantastic job as usual the goblins voice got very high pitched at time which is ok in a book but as an audiobook makes for an unpleasant experience at times.
I look forward to the next book. If you liked the previous books you should like this one.
