Delightful introduction to Greek Mythology!
I bought this for my then three year old daughter to listen to on car journeys. In actuality, we both listened and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's an engaging and highly accessible introduction to the Greek Myths narrated in interlinked tales by Atticus the Greek. Good narration, lively tales and an excellent premise combine to make an audiobook all the family will enjoy.

Atticus the story teller
Brilliant book and good narration except there are some sad stories and the stories aren't in order but other than a brilliant book!

This is a very much a kids book. But I would say it gives a good introduction to the Greek myths.

Enjoyed this so much that I bought the "real" book
There is a great deal of criticism about this book - the myths aren't in the "right" order, they're too "sanitised" and so on, but for children and adults who don't have a thorough grounding in classical Greek mythology, this is a lovely introduction to the myths.
The myths are "linked together" by the story of a storyteller and his donkey, on their way to a marvellous storytelling festival, and along the way, the storyteller tells stories to his donkey and people they meet along the way, each of which is a short myth.
To be honest, the story of the storyteller isn't of much interest to me, but it does bring the individual myths together.
I think these would be delightful as bedtime treats, and now that I have the printed book too, I think it's a lovely book to have in a children's library. If you enjoy these, then you can always upgrade to the "bloodier" versions later on!
