narration was excellent
Aleron's The Land series was one of the first series in the LitRPG genre that I listened to and holds a special place in my heart, and Alpha took me back to the experience of first listening to The Land : Founding. the world building was excellent and how it ties into both of Aleron's previous series was artfully done.
The main issue I have is that the ending of the book felt both rushed and anticlimactic in regards to the wider story, overall it felt like the first two thirds of what would have been a great book.
Overall I think this is a great story for Aleron's comeback and is simultaneously a great book for new fans as well as expanding on the AKU for existing fans alike. Alpha leaves plenty to be explored and I look forward to the "Avengers" moment when Richter, Remy and Fin final meet!

loved the story, Dr Kong's style of righting is superb
loved the book, been a fan of all his series so far and this is a great addition to that. enjoyed the world building and scene setting, his style of righting allows you to relate to the characters on a personal level, which just draws you deeper.
Pavi's narration of the story is top class. if your on the fence about having a listen, take a chance it's well worth it 👍

We finally ge to know!
The Land drew me fully into the Lit RPG genre and introduces you into the Labrynth, God's Eye was an enjoyable change in perspective, I enjoyed the connections between the two stories; Alpha finally give me something I really wanted to know about, what does James leave behind? Alpha is a perfect book one to this new AKU installment, and I'm already creating my own theories of how characters and elements of the story are connected to the rest of the universe. I appreciate why thus has taken as long as it has to be completed, and I'm so glad to be reading more from this author. roll on book 2!

what I felt that was done great is the mechanics are different to the other two series but include parts and make them feel they are still linked

Dear Aleron you have been missed BUT...
Aleron is one of my top five authors in LitRPG. He has a unique, if a bit dark, writing style, and as a man of colour, I love that positive difference where the protagonist is a bit more than standard.
Having said the above, why does Aleron insist on being called "father of Lit RPG" I had hoped he learnt from earlier mistakes where he tried to copyright the LITRPG term! Aleron, please STOP this nonsense. Stick to writing! (and making your books longer)

The land was my first litrpg and really got me into the genre, sadly this has really fallen behind current litrpg. the system is just too confusing and nothing really happens? just doesnt compete with primal hunter, wandering inn in regards to litrpg and holds nothing to cradle from a cultivating.
trying too hard too be too many things and still link back to the land...
its a shame because iv waited soooo long for more aleron. this has just left me uninspired and unforfilled.

Part way through the DING is painful
I'm just glad I am not using headphones to listen to this. For someine with sensory sensitivity the DING sound effects used in this title are painful.
