About this listen
The first anthology of original short stories featuring the confluence of two iconic properties, as the Predators seek the ultimate prey: the Xenomorphs from Alien
The ultimate hunters, the Predators, are pitted against their ultimate prey, the Xenomorphs, with humans caught in the middle! Taking place on Earth and in distant space, these tales have been crafted by a who’s who of today’s most talented authors of the fantastic:
David Barnett • Roshni “Rush” Bhatia • Curtis C. Chen • Delilah S. Dawson • Mira Grant • Susanne L. Lambdin • Jess Landry • Yvonne Navarro • E. C. Myers • Scott Sigler • Maurice Broaddus • Chris Ryall •
Bryan Thomas Schmidt • Steven L. Sears • Jonathan Maberry and Louis Ozawa
With 15 new and original stories, this first-of-its-kind anthology is inspired by the events of the original Aliens vs. Predators movies, graphic novels, and novels. Includes a new story written by Jonathan Maberry and Louis Ozawa (“Hanzo” from the movie Predators) as Hanzo’s brother faces the eternal threats of both the Yautja and the Xenomorphs.

Not compelling, often confusing
I have listened to a lot of Alien and Predator audiobooks by authors featured in this compilation. A few of these stories were good, but a few were genuinely too confusing to enjoy, not due to plot but due to the choice to have too many new names to get used to. Some of these stories were too clumsy in their points, which laboured the pace of the plot. Nost of the performers were good. There was a disappointing lack of even dry humour throughout, some finally making an appearance in the last story. The repetition of certain descriptive words for our key characters the xenomorph and the predator were overused.

Some good, some not so good.
Some good stories some not so good. Wide range of time and cultural settings. Really liked ‘phalanx’ sequel.

some great stories in this collection
some great stories in this collection, including a great tie-in story to the Alien Phalanx.
Were it not for a rather odd female narrator on a couple (who pronounces every sentence as if she is asking a question rather than making a statement of fact) it would be a solid 5-star across the board.
If you enjoy aliens or predator you will most likely enjoy this.

Twerking his hips?
One of the authors wrote about a male character twerking his hips in the middle of a fight lol. It was such a weird thing to say...
Some stories were better than others, but overall an enjoyable read. I really liked the Japanese Yakuza story, but I wish it was much longer as it was left on a cliff-hanger.

Excellent stories let down by performance
I love this anthology as every story is different and each provides a little more insight into the Yautcha, and on the whole the performers were great but the voice talent who did two stories (starting with Homestead) had the most annoying accent and dialogue delivery which detracted from the story. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to leave negative comments on an alien/AVP audiobook, I normally love them start to finish, and my negativity is solely reserved for the poor performance of one performer.
