Summary

Afterlife...just some gothic nightclub where gossip is fuelled by the presence of a rich and unearthly, handsome family or afterlife...the strange place where time seems to stand still and guests feel the presence of something more powerful held within the confines of the VIP.

Keira is new to this small, cold town and is running from a past that seems to feast on her darkest memories. She finds living with her sister away from English soil to be just the ticket to the new life she is trying desperately to find. So when the offer of a job at the infamous gothic nightclub Afterlife comes along she thinks that lady luck has finally found her. That is until its seductively dark and forbidding owner Dominic Draven sets eyes on her.

All at once she is captivated and plunged into a world she never knew existed, but the deeper her obsession with Draven becomes, the harder it is to decide...should she stay and continue to work within the shadows of the supernatural or should she run from a madness she thinks may consume her?

Warning: This audiobook not only has sexual content but is amazingly addictive, with its dark mystery, haunting horror, seductive twists and one sexy dark lord that has the listener drooling every time the name Draven is heard! This audiobook has been written by an UK author with a mad sense of humour. Which means the following story contains a mixture of Northern English slang, dialect, regional colloquialisms and other quirky spellings that have been intentionally included to make the story and dialogue more realistic for modern day characters.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this book mostly, the males voice reminds me of a number of twilight characters and the sex parts got a bit boring, but a ok list while I work.

Fantastic

A great read with a wonderful cast of characters and plenty of delicious angst.

Very Addictive

They weren't joking when they said addictive! I was captured straight away to this story. Any fans of 50 shades of grey and fantasy books would love this! The narrative was pretty good also 👌

sometimes you wish that there wasnt so much information about the characters body positioning eye movement facial expressions etc it has a great story line though.

Thought provoking

I tried this book on my kindle but I struggled to get into it however the reviews and recommendations were so good I needed to give it another go and I'm glad I did.

I loved the narrators voice it really did fit kiera character. It didn't drone on and I found it entertaining to listen to.

Kiera and Dravens story was rocky and intense, a normal girl brought into a world of demons and angels is never going to be easy. The fact that the villain of the tale was human made it even more captivating.

All in all I really enjoyed it.

Excellent!

Have read all of Stephanie Hudson's books and I'm utterly addicted, so while waiting for next book thought I would try audible, and can say it's better being read to me! Would have liked the make to be a male's voice but it's still very good and I will now go through them all in audible.

What have I just listened too?

I can honestly say this book was an absolute slog to get through. I will not be continuing on with the series because I personally found it really boring and I cannot stand the narrators accent. The lead character was the most annoying person and made very questionable decisions. No one character had any depth and whilst this may be addressed in the following books, I can’t bring myself to toil on with it. I can see why it is loved by some as it has a good premise and is very promising but just not for me.

!!!!!CAUTION!!!!! addictive!

I started this book while I was waiting for an appointment, I was called up and regretted booking the appointment! Miss Hudson should be very proud of herself for battling dyslexia and coming out with a fantastic first novel! Having mild dyslexia myself I understand the struggles. The only down side is having to wait for the next installment! (already present ordered on audible!)

Thank you for such an epic ride with this story. Looking forward to the next!! <3

Epic!

Absolutely brilliant.
The reader is great. So easy to listen to and really shows when different people are speaking. This is a great story and well worth the credit/money.
