Summary
From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Giana Darling comes an angst-filled romance about what happens after the happily-ever-after for a bad boy biker and the woman he corrupted....
I was settin’ up to live a good life, the kinda life I’d fought hard to deserve.
With a good woman - the best woman - at my side, a degree under my belt, and the whole world at my feet, I was livin’ the kinda happily ever after usually denied the rebellious and the criminal. I’d turned my back on that kinda life, thinkin’ I needed that clean, wholesome kinda happy.
Then the devil came dressed in the wings of an angel and took someone from me.
And I realized I was wrong.
There was no clean and wholesome for a man like me with poetry in his heart and outlaw in his blood. The life I’d been livin’ was only purgatory, holding me over until the time came for me to descend into Hell and pick up the tarnished crown that awaited me.
I was condemning my woman to a life of violence, blood, and heartache, but I had to hope she’d step up and finally be the rough-and-tumble queen to my fallen MC king.
After the Fall can be listened to as a stand-alone romance, but you first meet the couple in Lessons in Corruption (The Fallen Men, #1).

This book almost destroyed me
THIS BOOK IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
Narrators Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan did an incredible job as always💕
King and Cress are back and more in love than ever, but true love never runs smoothly as Sergeant Danner is about to put a major spanner in the works with a plot twist you will not see coming.
This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. I can’t wait until the next audiobook comes out.

Unbelievable!
This is a foĺlow up to #1 of the Fallen Series about King and his Cress and it is 6 years later. They have grown in maturity but was much the same, lots of sex, poetry (which was lovely) and a recap of the story so far.
It is a tear jerker and you know what's going to happen from the beginning which was odd, so get the tissues out!
I found it too long and unbelievable, so it's a no from me.
The narration was sublime though!

Heartwrenching and hot!
Ohhh, my heart. I knew this was a heart-wrencher going in, but I didn’t expect THAT! It’s only my hopelessly romantic hopeful heart that kept me from completely breaking apart. Ugh. King and Cressida. The first couple by Giana Darling that I’ve met. They’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
However, and it hurts me to say that, it would have been even better if the first half was a bit shorter. It kinda had a filling character for me, especially after their original book ended so wonderfully.
With that out of the way, the Fallen MC is one of my absolute favorite biker romances. I just love this bunch of characters so much. Their bond, the love they share, the found family, the emotion, and not to forget the curveballs Ms. Darling loves to throw their and our way. Oh, and the steam. The. Steam. Whew. Fans self.
The audio is brought to life by Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan, with a special appearance by Jason Clarke. Three of my absolute favorite narrators in one book. This bookworm was in audio book heaven.

Great Romance
This book broke my heart again just to glue it back together in the end. I loved the narration and to hear especially King come to life.

Good but...
This is a continuation of Cressida & King's story from book one of the series. The first half of this book dragged a bit as most of it takes place along the same timeline as things that happened in book 3 so nothing fresh was really added to the overall plot but thankfully the second half of the book picked up as we got to a timeline after the events of the last book.
These two aren't my favourite of the couples in this series, their inner monologues and their dialogue towards and about each other comes across as pretentious and too flowery to me and I find myself rolling my eyes alot of the time. I get they are into poetry but nobody talks like that, they just don't. The last third of the book is where this story really makes it's impact and I was gutted for the Fallen family while reading it. I loved seeing more of the Fallen brothers and their dynamics as a club, knowing Axe Man is the MMC of the most recent book to be released in this series that I am yet to read I definitely paid more attention when he was mentioned this time round. Savannah Peachwood, Jacob Morgan & Jason Clarke all did a phenomenal job narrating and I loved their performances. Overall a good read. 🌶🌶
