Powerful !!!
In this book The author Angel Greene have wrote the reason for addiction, what happens to the brain when addicted and what needed to stop with the distractive behavior.
I myself think that addiction is needed for the human condition to grow.
Lately we talk a lot about artificial intelligence like ChatGPT which is not a true AI, to be one it must be self aware and after doing much thinking about it I believe that all humans are addicted to so much stuff that we don’t even count it as addiction but without those things we wouldn’t have been so different from each others we would have been like robots living in herds.
I believe that the way our brains work the carrots and the stick rewards system and that everything that give us joy or that we work towards comes with rewards if achieved and it’s all part of addiction, the good feeling reward and our way to communicate, those two are a must for intelligence to move us forward to the future!
True this book is about harmful addiction but even they must exist for humanity to move forward.
Narration by C. J. McAllister is beautifully done.
