About this listen
A Harvard psychiatrist and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, John E. Mack, the author of A Prince of Our Disorder, presents accounts of alien abduction taken from the more than 60 cases he has investigated, and examines the implications for our identity as a species. Mack's Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens is a fascinating investigation of real-world alien encounters, and explores how extraterrestrial encounters affected the way people regarded the world—including heightening their sense of spirituality and their environmental concern.
John E. Mack was a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and focused his career on the connections between different cultures and individuals. His book is masterfully narrated by Audible listener favorite, Brian Arens.
Produced and published by Echo Point Books & Media, an independent bookseller in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Hard to put down...
I'm so glad this came to audio book. Excellent narration. A fantastic listen from start to finish. Very difficult to stop listening at times. I wonder what Mack would make of more recent revelations...

Irrelevant details
Detailed passages about the abductee’s childhood, when he lost an eye playing, or in a different case a whole description of the abductee’s brother and his family. This book would have been an easier read if it wasn’t filled to the brim with irrelevant details. Let me be clear, you are not a writer, you are a researcher, so give us the research without all the fluff you think you need to add in order to make it feel like a “book”. Oh wait, I forgot, you probably got paid per word.

Some interesting stuff.
This is a good book on the subject but unfortunately it really only studies a particularly type of dreamy alien abduction phenomenon.
Other more lucid accounts can be found in other publications.
It's still a good listen though.
R.I.P Dr.Mack

Something is definitely going on
So far the most in depth book I’ve read regarding the subject of alien encounters/abductions.
The whole topic is so bizarre and thought provoking, and I’m still on the fence regarding to believe it or not. But no matter what, something is going on and it’s definitely something that should be further explored.

Clear informative text
Good book , but new volume pertaining to the 2000s needs to be out before they just come and introduce themselves!
