Summary
Peggy Rector's life is no bed of roses, despite her hunky landscape gardener boyfriend, Jess Carson. Their relationship has its ups and downs, and his teenage daughter is no help. Both face critical decisions, and their romance hangs in the balance.
When an unpopular wealthy homeowner goes missing, a rural Texas community pulls together to search for him, but it's Peggy who finds Vince Koenig dead. The arrow in his abdomen belongs to her best friend's son, and the police are gunning for him.
Peggy's gut tells her he's innocent, and once again, the members of the Stinky Springs Ladies Social Club band together to investigate the crime. A second death hardens her resolve to solve the crime, but the murderer is on to her. A Christmas ice storm leaves Peggy isolated and vulnerable. Alone, she must outwit a clever killer to survive.

Great cozy Mystery
Peggy and the gang are back with another murder to solve. When a very unpopular rich man who has offended and upset locals with his plans ends up dead, and her best friends son becomes the cheif suspect, the girls wade in. This is a great story The characters are larger than life. I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next book in this series.

Great fun small town mystery
I enjoyed this second book in the Peggy Rector series, it contains some excellent characters and a clever storyline.
The plot revolves around an unpleasant man who is murdered, unfortunately Peggy's best friend's son is accused of the murder so Peggy and her friends must get together to prove his innocence. There is also a nice back-story of Peggy's relationship, but the balance between the mystery and Peggy's personal life is just right.
The narration is as good as for the first book, which is to say very good indeed.
