Summary
Everleigh Beckett’s plans for Christmas are simple: Forget her ex is getting married to another woman, keep her cat Roscoe in the lifestyle he’s accustomed to, and hunker down until all the Yuletide cheer is over. Hoping to forget the season, she agrees to work extra shifts in the Missing Persons Division so her partner can spend time with his family.
What Everleigh doesn’t realize is that one of the most infamous baby-snatching cases of 1986 is about to land in her lap. Rachel Walters was just two days old when she disappeared from Heritage Hospital, but when Rachel’s mother Sarah receives a letter saying Rachel is still alive, Everleigh wants to give Sarah the closure she so deserves.
Is this a diabolical scam to get an inheritance from a dying woman, or has Everleigh just stumbled on her first Christmas miracle?

Feel good story with new characters
Everley is a cop who looks into missing persons and she is a career woman. She ends up working with Izaak an ex cop turn P.I. There is some good banter between them that gives the story some humour. The story is about a missing baby and it’s a cold case. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and even cried at the end as I felt a connection. This is a really good listen and would recommend it. It’s well written and Kelley brings it to life with her many voices

Another win for the ML Hamilton/Kelley Hazen team!
From the team the brought us the Peyton Brooke's series in audiobook, this new series reflects the same high standards of storytelling and performance. Everleigh Beckett, an officer in the Missing Persons Division, teams up with a PI to solve a seemingly unresolvable case. Can they bring about a Christmas miracle?
In true ML Hamilton style, the characters in this story are interesting and deep. They bring texture and laughter to the story as well, giving a somewhat serious story a lot more dimension. Kelley Hazen knows just how to bring the characters to life in her unique way. She always captures and reflects their personalities in her performance.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next book in the series! A Christmas winner!
