Summary

Little Jeff Pearce grew up in a post-war Liverpool slum. His father lived the life of an affluent gentleman whilst his mother was forced to steal bread to feed her starving children. Life was tough and from the moment Jeff could walk he learned to go door to door, begging rags from the rich, which he sold down the markets.

Leaving school at the age of 14, he embarked on an extraordinary journey and found himself, before the age of 30, a millionaire. Then a cruel twist of fate left him penniless. With nothing but holes in his pockets, Jeff had no alternative but to go back down the markets and start all over again. Could he really get back everything he had lost?

Amazing story about a truly inspirational man

What a story!! I grew up at the same time as this man and I feel his story is a real inspiration to anyone who, willing to work hard and give 100% to life can achieve true and well deserved success.

Now his book is in audible I hope it is also able to be listened to, and perhaps encourage others to make the enormous step that he took to finally overcome reading problems

one well written, emotional roller coaster.

There are so many high and low points in Jeff's life. i was laughing one minute and the next i found tears were running down my face.
Well done Jeff for this very special piece of work, gifted in a way by your Mothers love. your Mother is your Angel and no one could ever tell me otherwise. My life has had many major twists and turns, so my empathy with your determination to succeed is resolute.
The love you have for you Wife and children is amazing. i spent many years as an Employment advisor. I met and mentored many Jeff's all with a story of there own so this was like one of my good news stories extended. The challenges you have gone through and came out the other side more than once are the hardest lessons to learn, yet there you were, back in the game of life. You made it. well done!!!
A word on the voice over: Outstanding. i felt you were at my table having a chat with me about your life. i felt like the Lady on the plane. Thank you.
