Summary
There's nothing romantic about dating....
A Glasgow Kiss [n.]: a headbutt or a strike with the head to someone's sensitive area
Meet Zara Smith: 29, single and muddling her way through life as a trainee nurse in Glasgow. With 30 fast approaching, she's determined to do whatever it takes to find love - or at least someone to sext! Cheered on by best friends Ashley and Raj, Zara embarks on a string of dating escapades that are as hilarious as they are disastrous. From online dating to blind dates, hometown hook-ups to flirty bartenders, nothing is off-limits.
But when Dr Tom Adams, a.k.a. Sugar Daddy, shows interest, it's a game-changing moment. Zara has had a crush on Tom since her very first day at the aesthetics clinic she works at part-time. As things heat up between them, Zara can't help but wonder: is this it? Or is it another disaster waiting to happen?
Filthy, hilarious and painfully relatable, Zara Smith is Bridget Jones for the millennial generation, from the writer of the Sex in the Glasgow City blog. Fans of Fleabag, Girls and Lucy Vine will love A Glasgow Kiss.

Headphones! Like listening to pals
A bit raunchier than expected! Good, easy listening that reminded me of being single in Glasgow. Like listening to your friends on the phone mostly. Some slightly cringey accents though, but a good audiobook nonetheless!

Laugh out loud book
I’ve never written a book review before but felt compelled to do so with this book.
It is total escapism and I laughed out loud frequently at the ‘similar’ situations I have been in alongside the main character Sara.
The narrator is superb, with a soft Scottish accent and fantastic expression. I felt like Sara was someone I knew!!
I have already recommended the book to a Glaswegian friend as I know she will love it and all the little nods to Scottish ways.
A highly entertaining read or listen but not for the prudish give its XXX rating at times 😂

Banter at its best
This is a belly laughing OMG book! And if you are Glaswegian, well you’ll feel like you are in the places described. It in no way tries to take dating to that perfect in love story places, it’s warts and all. I laughed out loud by the pool tooooo many times. If you want a good belly laugh, this is the one for you. Well done Sophie not laughed that hard in ages xx
