A Touch of Darkness from Hades' POV (with new scenes)!
Hades, god of the underworld, is known for his inflexible rule, luxurious night clubs, and impossible bargains. Used to control, he is not prepared to discover the Fates have chosen his future wife and queen - Persephone, goddess of spring.
Despite her attraction to the god, Persephone, an ambitious journalism student, is determined to expose Hades for his cruel and ruthless ways.
Hades finds himself faced with the impossible - proving his future bride wrong. Regardless of his efforts, there are forces who wish to keep the two apart, and Hades comes to realize he will do anything for his forbidden love, even defy fate.

Incredible
Incredibly easy to follow along and remember character names, every chapter is interesting, and the voice actor fits perfectly. Such an amazing story l

Awful narration
If this narration was for a free book fine it’s passable. After listening to the first book (for free) with an awesome VA, it was very disappointing. I hated every minute.

narrator kindof ruins this.
I enjoyed the book, but the narrator who read the the rest of the series would have been a better option.

Narrated horribly
After listening to "A Touch of" series which was narrated amazing, the "A Game of" saga is such a disappointment, the narrator is so robotic and his voice barely changed. sampled a few times and don't want to waste my money, hopefully it can be recast.

Great addition to the series
I read quite a few negative reviews regarding the narrator and it put me off buying this audio book but I’m glad I went ahead and bought it because it was a great addition to the series to have the story so far from hades POV and I personally thought the narrator did a good job. I really
Enjoyed getting a glimpse in to show hades felt for Persephone and not just her side. I hope more of the future books in this series are also don’t from hades POV or maybe some of the books could be shared POV.

I just can’t stand the narration!
The story is great! I’m loving the story itself, I just can’t. The voice actor is terrible, so much so, I’ve bought the physical copies so I can continue the story, but not on audible. I started getting used to it but as soon as I start listening again after a break, it grates on me.
I know there is gonna be spicy bits and the idea of this guy narrating it, makes me cringe!
I’ve just finished listening to A Touch of Darkness, with the intention of reading both in tandem. I wonder who made the decision for this voice actor to narrate the story. I wish the female voice actor from a Touch of… carried on the narration for Hades POV.

loving Hades POV
I loved Hades POV and the background story of what was going on. Even though I've read/listened to Persephones pov this story was different, it wasn't like listening to the same story twice (if that makes sense) however, the performance lacked depth and character, I had to check it wasn't AI at first. I also had to push through and not give up because of the performance. I'm glad I did!!
I will definitely be listening to the next installment of Hades books, however I will have to do it soon so I am accustomed to the voice, and then I don't have to spend a few chapters re-acclimatising to the performance.

Story line
Amazing read, would highly recommend this book to everyone, the characters are brilliant, the storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat and you route for the protagonists

A game of fate
well, it was the same as the touch of darkness with a little extra twists from Hade's pov. I did enjoyed listening to it and the narrator was great but cause i listen to the other book i already knew what happened. Tho, Hade's pov was very interesting i must say!!

Much prefer the Hades saga to Persephone’s
I found this a more enjoyable, mature and interesting story line with less repetitions than listening to a Touch of…” which I found rather irritating both in the voice representation of Persephone and the immature self-obsessed nature of her character there. She is presented so much better in this too.
Narration is a little monotonous as others have identified but after a while you settle into it and in no way is as whiny and off putting as Persephone is in her own series.
The fact it was included free as part of my membership was the only reason I gave it a chance but now considering buying the next title in the Hades series.
It is interesting having heard 2 of the Persephone books first (which where also include in my membership but not considered investing in a 3rd in those) to see the series of events taking place at the same time in Hades life.
