Summary

As Miss Marple sat basking in the Caribbean sunshine, she felt mildly discontented with life. True, the warmth eased her rheumatism, but here in paradise nothing ever happened. Eventually, her interest was aroused by an old soldier's yarn about a strange coincidence.

Infuriatingly, just as he was about to show her an astonishing photograph, the Major's attention wandered. He never did finish the story.... June Whitfield stars as the sharp-witted spinster sleuth in a BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation.

Wonderful June Whitfield

Not my favourite Miss Marple, but saying that June Whitfield as Miss Marple was wonderful as ever.

A joy to listen to...

Wonderful old fashioned story, well acted and not interfered with - as so many Agatha Christie dramatisations have been recently. Enjoy!

Superb!

Fabulous dramatisation performed by an all star cast. I'm sure that the cast have as much enjoyment in performing these dramatisations as we do in listening. Just delightful and,as ever, sorry when it came to an end. However, these are so perfect that I will listen over again many times no doubt! Much recommended!

Another good one!

I am so enjoying listening to these dramatisations and June Whitfield is brilliant as Miss Marple. Having said that favourite is and was Joan Hickson as Miss Marple. Aside from that it is Agatha Christie at her finest and can easily listen to them again and again!

It's Agatha it's Brilliant & it's HERE ! Excellent

I have the full collection of EVERYTHING Agatha Christie - Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot & all the others. You cannot beat listening to a full cast Christie. Settle down in your fave comfy chair a nice drink & relax for over 2 riveting hours of fun & intrigue. All the Christie stories are perfect British crime thrillers. You will not be disappointed.

Old but good

An interesting programme to compare to modern TV adaptations. One has to think in an old fashioned way, a good experience which I was glad to take.
