Richard Kaczynski, Ph.D., is a writer, musician, research scientist, teacher and pumpkin-carver. The Times Literary Supplement called his "Perdurabo: The Life of Aleister Crowley," “the major biography to date” of this seminal figure of modern magick. Richard is also the author of "Forgotten Templars: The Untold Origins of Ordo Templi Orientis," "The Weiser Concise Guide to Aleister Crowley," "Perdurabo Outtakes," and "Panic in Detroit: The Magician and the Motor City," as well as co-editor with Hymenaeus Beta of "The Revival of Magick and Other Essays." He has appeared on television in the documentaries "Secrets of the Occult" and "Aleister Crowley: The Beast 666." Richard earned his Ph.D. in social psychology in 1993 with a dissertation on metaphysical beliefs and experiences in New Religious Movements. He has lectured internationally, and over those years his writing has appeared in various books (including "Tarot in Culture," "Mathematics in Popular Culture," "Aleister Crowley and Western Esotericism," and "Rebels and Devils") and magazines (including "High Times," "The Magical Link," and "Different Worlds").
