My name is Paul, short for Paulin, and I live in London, UK. I write and publish books because books have the power to change lives. They have changed mine. And none more so than the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, translated with amazing beauty by Edward Fitzgerald. When I first read the Rubaiyat I didn't know anything about it, Khayyam or FitzGerald. But when I started learning about them the poem I saw the Rubaiyat under a different light. It revealed a new world. Two worlds, in fact: the East and the West; the past and the present. I am humbled to have been able to publish a book about Rubaiyat. I hope when you read it, you will enjoy it as much as I did putting it together.
