With a deep personal connection to Southern heritage, Paul C. Graham breathes life into the region's history through his scholarly, yet personal approach and extensive public engagements. His employment of satire, sarcasm, and humor have made him a unique voice among his peers. His literary contributions including works like American History for Home Schools, 1607 to 1885 (contributor, 2018), The Southern Tradition (contributor, 2019), When the Yankees Come: Former Carolina Slaves Remember Sherman’s March FROM the Sea (editor, 2022), and Confederaphobia: An American Epidemic (author, 2017). His most recent publication, Nonsense on Stilts: The Gettysburg Address and Lincoln's Imaginary Nation, released in 2024, continues to challenge, inspire, as well as occasionally annoy readers who have a vested interest in the neo-Yankee historical fantasy about the War for Southers Independence. A native of South Carolina, Paul C. Graham holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. His commitment to the pursuit of truth is reflected in his intermittent teaching of philosophy at the college level from 2002 to 2015. He resides near Old Saxe Gotha, South Carolina, with his beloved wife of nearly 30 years, Suzette.
