Kwe, hello! My name is Pam Palmater and I am a lawyer, professor, award-winning podcaster, bestselling author, and Indigenous rights activist. I write about reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, human rights, social justice, law and politics. I have more than 250 publications, which include articles for the Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, The Lawyer's Daily, Maclean's, Chatelaine, Canadian Dimension, Policy Options, The Guardian UK, CBC News, CTV News, APTN, NOW Toronto, and TVO. I also write special articles for partners like LUSH Cosmetics, and companies who care about reconciliation with Indigenous peoples and social justice. My three books include my bestseller (1) Warrior Life: Indigenous Resistance and Resurgence (2020) Fernwood Publishing. My other two books are (2) Indigenous Nationhood: Empowering Grassroots Citizens (2015) Fernwood Publishing; and (3) Beyond Blood: Rethinking Indigenous Identity (2010) UBC Press (previously published by Purich Publishing). I'm working on my fourth book about Indigenous women activists and my fifth book will be my first fiction novel about a narcissist, a woman's gut instincts and a murder. More details to come! For anyone who is interested in short stories, check me out on the Medium writing platform under the same name - Pam Palmater.
