Mara Lencina is executive producer of the award-winning documentary film Stolen Babies of Spain, available in Prime Video, co-author of Stolen Babies of Spain: The Book (also in Spanish "Bebés robados de España: El libro"), and translator of Betrayed at Birth: True Stories of Love, Lust, Greed, and Hope, and Letters to the Pope: One Man's Quest for the Truth. Mara is a native of Alicante, Spain. Mara has conducted over 300 interviews with victims both for the film and her doctoral dissertation (Giving Voice to the Voiceless: Testimonies of Stolen Baby Victims during the Franco Dictatorship). Mara’ s PhD is from Florida State University and she teaches Spanish at HGTC in South Carolina. She is co-founder of Valmar Productions Inc., and Valmar Films.
