KACI CRONKHITE's writing radiates a passion for nature, journeys, history, and finding connection with people around the world. Her stories have appeared in the sea anthology Steady As She Goes, and in magazines and newspapers in America, Australia, Canada, South Africa, and the Caribbean. Finding PAX was shortlisted for the UK's prestigious Mountbatten Maritime BEST BOOK Award 2018 and was a finalist for the Oklahoma Book Award in non-fiction. The bespoke edition was published 2016. The Expanded Edition (with 30 color photos) was published September 2018 by the world's premier nautical publisher, Adlard Coles (nautical imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing in London). The 3rd edition includes updates! Finding PAX is her first book—but definitely not her last. Two prequels are underway (one about her circumnavigation and the other about childhood on a ranch in Oklahoma). She splits her time between a homeport with her 1936 Danish-built boat named Pax in Port Townsend, Washington, a writing retreat near the historic family ranch in Oklahoma, and on writing sojourns around the world.
