Dharshini David is an award-winning economist and broadcaster. She’s the Chief Economics Correspondent for BBC News in London, as well as a presenter on BBC Radio 4. She worked in government after reading Economics at Cambridge before becoming HSBC Investment Bank’s UK Economist. She swapped the trading floor for the BBC, to cover economics and present financial programmes in London, and then New York where she led analysis on the unfolding the unfolding Great Financial Crisis. Dharshini also presented primetime business and political programmes for Sky, before returning to the BBC, initially to present the financial news on Radio 4’s flagship Today programme. She was born and raised in London, where she still resides.
