Ben Franklin is a UK-based writer and filmmaker most well-known for his web-series Bloody Cuts (created with co-founder Anthony Melton), which has been critically praised for its use of practical makeup, Hollywood standard aesthetics and unconventional storytelling. Ben’s films for have been viewed over 50 million times, played at major festivals worldwide, and won awards - most notably a Webby in 2017. In 2020 Bloody Cuts also celebrated its 3rd year at Thorpe Park Resort’s FRIGHT NIGHTS, where the franchise has become a major staple at one of the biggest theme parks in the UK. Ben has a number of projects in development in the UK and US, and is also a co-producer of Crypt TV’s THE BIRCH streaming series, produced exclusively for Facebook Watch. Ben spends much of his spare time playing boardgames, video-games and producing retro 80’s style music. He enjoys writing, having worked on film and television scripts for Hollywood studios, and dreams of one day adapting one of his own books for the big-screen!
