When Daria discovers a breach in the wall while on her patrol, and saves a family from infection by three hungry wolves, Daria herself is saved by a wolf hunter she had believed to be nothing but an urban legend: the Red Hood, Maireni Damaschin. The mysterious woman in a red cloak seems to possess inhuman abilities.

The world has not been kind to Katiana, Goldilocks, as the werewolves robbed her of her family when she was young. She was spared a similar fate by three bears who came to her aid and fought off the wolves. Kat finds herself in a strange new world after the loss of her family, but finds happiness again with her new family…her new brothers. They raise her to be a strong, independent woman with dangerous fighting skills and the strength of any two men.

The legends of fairy tales descend upon Issaquah, Washington, from Seattle in response to the report of demon activity. They find themselves under attack by an archer with uncanny aim and unnatural speed and agility. The group’s beta wolf, Amanda Danes, finds herself in pursuit of a legend: Robyn of Locksley, the fabled Robin Hood of Nottingham. Robyn joins forces with the Avatars of the mortal realm to face Styche the Trickster and stop his plan of unleashing Hell on Earth. Victory always has a cost.

While Daria McQueen mourns, the legends of fairy tales fight to contain the incursions of the new demon hybrid contagion that Styche the Trickster has unleashed upon the world. Robyn and Amanda fall off the path to Perchta's garden, where the Avatars were retreating to in order plan against the Elders resetting of the mortal realm. They find themselves in a land where imagination is the most dangerous of weapons.... Neverland. Everything we know about Pan, the Hook, and the Lost Boys gets all turned around. After a daring rescue, our heroines learn that time is up and the Elders have started their march.

The Avatars have all gathered in Seattle to face the Elders in a bid to stop the reset of the mortal realm and the loss of trillions of souls spread across the many worlds of our realm. The women of fairy tales, myth, and legend must split up to face the enemies, who are bordering on godhood, on many fronts. Fighting a losing battle, the Avatars give all that they have to save the world from Armageddon.
