Dragon Apparent

The world is guarded by dragons. Lurking in the shadows and keeping out of sight, they keep evil at bay. Or do they? Scarlet lives an ordinary life in LA. She is going about her life as normal when she finds out the hard way about the creatures that go bump in the night. With her guardian missing and strange events happening wherever she goes, she is forced to confront the truth and accept her true nature. Will she become what she needs to be? Hunted and adjusting to a new reality, can Scarlet find her friend and companion? Or will she be too late to save him?

With Anthony gone, Scarlet and Ben are left to figure out what he died for. On top of that, Scarlet has to get used to living in the dragon city of Detaris. Being an infamous red dragon only makes that harder. Nothing is ever simple, and they may be in as much danger as Anthony was. Can Scarlet figure out what Anthony's journals are trying to tell her while also navigating the strange new world of dragons? Or are there too many obstacles stacked against her? New allies come out of the shadows to aid her in her quest for answers.

Back in Detaris, Scarlet's friends are fast becoming the family she never had. But she has a thousand questions and is still restless. How can she perform magic no one else understands? Who are her parents? Why do the Shadow Catchers and their handlers keep coming after her? She knows someone out there has the answers. But can she risk what she already has to pursue the unknown? Who can she trust when her back is against the wall? Will everyone stand by her, or do they just want the power she possesses? There's only one way to find out. She has to face the demons once again.

While some of the dragons in Detaris are adjusting to having a new red dragon around, others aren't. They hound Scarlet no matter what she wants to try and do. If she doesn't put an end to it soon, she's going to wind up injured, or worse. Her supporters are insistent that Scarlet take the reins of the greatest realm in the world. She still isn't sure. She wants to be left alone to get to know her new family, but more and more dragons are popping up with half-truths and selfish agendas. Can Scarlet prove her lineage, power, and capability before it's too late?

After months of building proof that she is the heir to the throne, someone Scarlet thought was an ally shows up with another red dragon. Does the newcomer want the throne, and does she care if he takes it? Leading two races to safety and securing their future is not what Scarlet would have chosen for herself. She had accepted her duty to dragons and humans alike. The new arrival throws everything into question. Can she sit by and let another take a throne they've not earned simply because of the color of their scales? Is she any more worthy than he is?
