  • Summary

  • Stephen Fry travels into the most remarkable place we know - our brain. The organ of knowledge and the one we know least about.

Over 12 episodes Stephen explores just how much we’ve learned about this mysterious structure in recent years and tries to answer some of the most difficult questions that remain.

To do this, we relay the discoveries and stories of neuroscientists, psychologists, anthropologists and even philosophers, to add illumination and perspective as we travel. Each episode will be full of brainy stories: some shocking, some thrilling, some scarcely believable.

love it, truly fascinating

Great listen and full of fascinating info. I personally love the music, which a lot of people are hating, but that might be because some of it is from Kerbal Space Program, and I love that game haha.

Would highly recommend and even better that it's included

Masterpiece by Stephen Fry - as always!

Brain - a computer or www-type system?
Or perhaps the result of million of years of evolution? Stephen looks for a deeper and broader analysis of the most sophisticated and still mysterious organ the Nature created. All this written and performed in a listener-friendly manner, twelve episodes structured in such a way that it looks like a fascinating novel.

Excellent in every way. very detailed but light

hearted. A really good review of literature about the brain. from a chemistry teacher of course I am not a neuroscientist

So interesting

I was addicted to this book.
It was incredibly interesting and insightful, and on multiple occasions gave me that ‘gasp!’ moment, when interesting facts climaxed into a profound revelation about our brain.

So very interesting! Recommend

Really enjoyed listening to this Podcast. With the details of how the brain has been experienced on to see where thought comes from, along with how the mind works. Details and names for those for the leaps & bounds.

Brilliant!

Loved it, Stephen Fry is amazing as always, the topic was great and surprisingly more scientific than expected - in a good way, I learned a lot! The music did not bother me at all, quite on the contrary, it complimented the narrative greatly.
