Iti trebuie un anume spirit de aventura ca sa te intorci acolo, asumandu-ti riscul de a trai, zi de zi, exact ca oamenii vremii, de a te obisnui cu felul lor energic de a fi, cu regulile lor de conversatie, cu numeroasele lor obiecte de imbracaminte obligatoriu de purtat in acelasi timp pe unul si-acelasi trup, cu caii si cu servitorii lor, cu inima lor moale si cu taria lor de caracter, cu oala lor de noapte si cu balurile lor, cu teribilele lor pistoale si cu neajutorarea ingrozitoare in fata bolii, cu miasmele, cu parfumurile si cu sarurile lor, cu puricii si plosnitele dezgustatoare din hanurile lor, cu privatele din curte, cu scrisorile lor enorme si cu felul atat de direct in care ti se adreseaza chiar tie, cititorule, in romanele lor. Dar riscul cel mare este sa te deprinzi cu increderea lor absoluta intr-un viitor care tie, celui venit de acolo, din viitorul in care credeau ei atat de frumos, iti strange inima. Daca ajungi sa crezi si tu in el, ca ei, reintoarcerea acasa ar putea fi plina de dezamagiri si regrete.

weird cut

Great book but very poor audio editing work. The last available chapter ends mid sentence.

Disappointed.

The story is not complete. Interrupted by a German voice. Needs rectification please. Looking forward to get the updated version from Audible.

Dezamagita

Neplacut sa descopar ca nu este tot textul. Cartea are peste 300 de pagini, iar in format audio avem un pic peste o ora de lectura care se intrerupe brusc.
