Simply Zuper

(I received a free audiobook for my review. The review reflects my honest opinion. Thank you.)

Zuper Zero is pretty unusual and crazy and we really loved it.

At the start we have a dad telling his boy a bedtime story about superheroes.
As he progresses we notice he is actually Zuper Zero, and we learn how he did grow up and why he is called Zuper Zero.
We also get to know Red and Green (well Green not so much), and Heaven 2 and aliens and strange flying machines and much more.

The narration is as crazy as the story, because it's actually two females who speak dad and son, and later on also mum.
I loved the son narration part, because it's really done very well and didn't like the father/mother one.
The narrator of the parents simply speaks much too fast and sadly doesn't alter her voice one bit between the two characters, which can lead to confusion.
But I have to say, there's always room for improvement and listening to the sequel of Zuper Zero, the narration is much, much better, as the speaker of mum and dad now slows down sensibly.

Zuper Zero is a strange type of story and sometimes you don't really know, where this is heading, but it sure had a massive grandchildren appeal, they simply were hanging on every word and that happens pretty seldom.
So, if your kids are around six years of age or if you are looking for a fun superhero type of story, give Zuper Zero a try, it's well worth it.
