Summary
Kindness isn’t merely about getting along with people and being nice. It’s a game changer in business, the door-opener to opportunity, and the key to authenticity and confidence. Discover the true potential of kindness and harness its power.
Through years of developing her own kindness practices and studying those of others, Good Morning America correspondent and ABC News journalist Adrienne Bankert has experienced firsthand the unbeatable power of kindness and witnessed its transformative impact on others.
Adjusting our perspective from being closed off and self-centered to a mindset of kindness ripples into a staggering amount of personal fulfillment and growth.
No matter our age or ethnicity, where we come from, or how much money we make, every one of us can be kind. Every one of us can be a change agent.
In Your Hidden Superpower, Adrienne will help you:

Be kind
That sums it up, more of a personal story from the author about how kind they are. Not much to take away other than to be kind.

What the world needs now
In a world of chaos, disruption, discord, tribal lines, and a lack of compassion or understanding of others, this book and Adrienne’s voice is exactly the remedy we need. She speaks about leaving behind a kindness legacy, to consider even the smallest actions not just the big, and she perfectly describes the difference between kindness and being “nice”, and how to avoid the trap of being walked all over by those who aren’t able to see kindness as the strength it is, and not a weakness. I’ve actually experienced Adrienne’s kindness in person. We met by chance in a Beverly Hills nail salon, when I was having my nails done to sing at the 2020 Oscar ceremony as Norwegian Elsa in Frozen, and she was having hers done to report on the Oscars. She helped me relax and put me at ease about the pressure of the show, and that I deserved to be there on that stage. I’ll always be so grateful to her. And by the way, she’s absolutely breathtaking in person as well as on audible.
And now with lockdown and a changed world, and acting and singing in public is pretty much on hold, this book was exactly what I needed at this time. It’s so easy to become naval gazing and self pitying, instead of looking up and seeing what good we can bring to others, which in turn makes us feel more hopeful and opens up doors and connections we hadn’t thought of. I know for sure that the times I’ve switched off my ego and shown kindness to others, it has always come back around with kindnesses in return by someone. The old saying is true, “one good turn deserves another”, but we can change it to “One kindness deserves another”.
I’d recommend this book to anyone wishing to elevate and lead with love and compassion, who’d like to leave the world a kinder place than you found it, who thrive when in a positive environment and who’d like to create that for others. My goal is definitely to leave behind my own kindness legacy. Thank you Adrienne!
