A nostalgic journey through Azeroth

A nostalgic journey through Azeroth.

I loved this as it brought back many fond memories from WoW back in 2006.

Underwhelming

Usually Warcraft books are quite well written, but this book's story teaches you nothing you won't learn from playing WoW, so i am a little bit disappointed. the duo narration also didn't flow very well at all.

i suppose its a good summation of the lore you learn about while playing through the zones in the game, but speaking as someone who is well versed in warcraft lore, it was extremely underwhelming and didn't teach me anything new.

a wonderful journey through the eastern kingdoms

i was gifted the print edition of this book and thoroughly enjoyed it, leading me to using my trial credit to purchase this audio edition. i can totally see what people mean in regards to the duel-narration and how it affects flow. i believe this is more so to do with the format of the book, which is largely complied through letters and reports from shaw (which are then annotated by captain fairwind), and how that translates to audio, as opposed to shortcomings from the narrators. behlmann and lloyd-hughes are both incredibly talented VAs who continue to embody flynn and mathias perfectly, both in game and within this book. i thoroughly enjoyed both the content and their narration. as always, christie golden is a wonderful writer whose work never fails to capture the warcraft spirit. i can only hope she continues to write for the franchise for many years to come.

Great for nostalgia and world updates you missed.

Great for nostalgia and world updates you missed.
Not a great help to anyone who has not played World of Warcraft and knows nothing of Azeroth however for those that do and want a Spy Master's update on how things have developed it was a good listen.
Marked down for performance because although both narrators act out their in game characters as they have done in WoW, they were obviously not together when doing their lines and it shows with a lack of real interaction between the two of them.
