Summary

William Brown, the loveable rogue created by Richmal Crompton in the 1930s, is as well-received and enjoyed today as he was almost 80 years ago. Martin Jarvis has long been the voice of William, and brings a youthful sense of joy and a childlike excitement to the reading.

has me laughing uncontrollably. Love the vocabulary. how many books today would use word like "propitiation".

Wonderful

Wonderful to get an unabridged version of Martin Jarvis's brilliant reading. I know all these stories backwards, but they still make me chuckle.

Wonderful

I have loved the just William books all my life and the books read by Martin Jarvis are wonderful. They are perhaps a little dated, but they are funny, thought-provoking and a joy to listen to. Martin Jarvis is an exceptionally good narrator. I often listen to the William books in the car and sometimes Williams exploits make me laugh out loud and there have been times when I have cried with laughter.

Just William

I loved it. I really like the tricks that the outlaws lay on people.👦 Especially the ones that William plays on his family

Hilarious stories, brilliant narration.

Richmal Crompton was nothing short of a genius. these William stories are unfailingly well written, plotted and hilarious. I've been reading, now listening, with delight to these stories for 60 years. And Martin Jarvis's narration is peerless.
