About this listen
From New York Times best-selling author, JB Salsbury, comes an angsty new romance with a bossy hero and woman who was born to survive.
To me, he was Grizzly.
To the world, I would learn, he’s someone else completely.
I should have died on that mountain.
But he rescued me.
More animal than man, he’s cold, distant, and fiercely territorial. He seems to hate me for simply breathing, and yet, he brought me back to life.
After my return to the city, I can’t stop thinking about him. His rough hands, intense glare, and the way he cared for me as if I meant something to him.
He tells me he’s dangerous. That I’m not safe around him. I would eventually understand why he warned me away. But by then it’s too late. My heart is his.

Get ready for a Wild ride!
This book came recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint. I was hooked from the beginning to the very end. I expected to lose interest but I readily devoured every single word.
The connection between the characters was initially slow but the chemistry and steam ramped up. I love the transition from the remote log cabin to city life.
Jordan is my new #girlcrush and EVERYTHING I love about a heroine. She is strong, resilient, kind-hearted and never settled for less than she deserved.
But it was the grumpy Grizzly Alexander who stole my heart. After reading so many “ forced proximity” romance novels way back in my teens, this was nostalgia and yet still something entirely in a league of its own.
The pace of the story was fast and I got through a 10 hour-ish audiobook in a day without taking a break. The definition of unputdownable.
Get ready for a WILD and unforgettable ride. Wild North is the first book I’ve read by this author and it’s going in my top reads for 2021!
I’m usually sceptical about new narrators but this book was narrated so incredibly well as they captured the emotions and intensity of this story.

It was one of those stories that sucks you in and holds you tight. And you just wish you were the one bitten.😉😉 What an amazing combo of characteristic’s Alexandre has!! 🔥🔥🔥 I don’t want to give to much away but dang he is a couple of great fantasies all rolled into one- grrr!
Really, so worth the listen!
I’m so excited that this is just the beginning and there’s more in this series to come. There are fascinating supporting characters in this story, that have me intrigued on what could possibly come next! 🤔🔥

Grumpy Grizzly
This is my first experience of this author’s work and I was hooked from the first chapter. Jordan is in need of rescuing and Grizzly (Alexander) is the reluctant hero. These two have snarks and spark together—Samantha Brentmoor and Lee Samuels add so much life to these characters. I loved the tension in the story and the change from their cabin refuge to the city. I loved watching Jordan see Alexander’s brilliance, while he remains Grizzly to her, and seeing her past meet her future. I am definitely going to follow the rest of the series!
I received a copy of this audiobook from the author. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.

4.5 I need more North stars
Book 1 in the North Brothers saga, and having just finished it, I need more. These sullen, troubled brothers are so entertaining, and I think JB started with the best brother of all. Alexander, he doesn’t taking any messing. He doesn’t pander to the needs of others, and he is the grouchiest, grumpiest man I’ve ever met. When he saves Jordan from a fall in extreme weather conditions they’re left stranded with only each other for company. Not the best situation for Mr Grumpy Pants. Lots of drama, and lots of sexy time. I love billionaires who think they’re hearts are invincible. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, the writing and the narration, both Lee Samuels and Samantha Brentwood are new narrators to me, and I loved them. I’m going to have to wait and hope that book 2, Rebel North, comes out on audio very soon.

3 stars mostly decent listen
I liked listening to this on the whole. It lost its momentum halfway through and never really got it back again. I didn’t feel invested by the end, and it didn’t grab me by the heart enough to overcome the issues I had with the heroine’s pushover character, the hero’s background and choices. I know some readers will have huge issues with some of the history and violent tendencies, and romanticising the whole situation. But on the whole, it was still worth a listen.
