Summary
When family life gives you lemons, trade them for grapes!
Mummy Ellen is on a well-earned sabbatical from work, and she has A Vision. She is going to cherish *every* moment this holiday with her Precious Moppets Peter and Jane, alongside her ride-or-die best friend, Hannah. There will be wicker baskets! Vintage bicycles! Pink sunshine wine! And not an electronic babysitter in sight.
But as she strives for her picture-perfect “Ultimate Family Summer” in the sun-kissed bliss of her almost-chateau, reality crashes the party. With small feral hell-beasts to keep alive on the daily, and Hannah suddenly and mysteriously MIA, wine o’clock gets earlier and earlier as each day crawls by.

I just love these books! So nice to have a funny book about parenting and friendships that isn’t trying to be perfect round up.

love the humour, l keep laughing out loud and getting strange looks from my husband.

FAB FUN 4 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Each 'WHY MUMMY' book should be made into a 10 part COMEDY series staring narrator and actress 'GABRIELLE GLAISTER ' as she really brings 'Ellen' alive from the pages ~ she is so believable. They made the book 'THE FLATSHARE ' a successful series.
Gill Sims has hit on something very special with these books. This listen was again, relatable and hilarious, I had 4 small children, so I have lived it.
My favourite part was the 'German Tourist' who were at all the places Ellen took the kids through the summer holidays 😂 I was laughing out loud it was hilarious 😂
I saved my credit waiting for this listen and I am so glad I did, as it was worth it and I definitely recommend this book!!

Still got it
Most series get tired by the fourth or fifth book. Mummy shows no signs of cutting back. Possibly the best episode yet.
