About this listen
Sucked into a whirlpool. Discovering pre-Inca tribal remains. Breaking an ankle 5000 meters up the side of a volcano. These are just a few of the unexpected circumstances Lindsey Porter found herself in, as she traveled to some of the world’s most incredible locations!
For the first time, these tales have been brought together in a collection that shares the unforeseen and often humorous outcomes whilst revealing an insight into places that are a little off the tourist trail. They also track her amazing life journey from being a senior project manager working in financial services to traveling to India to train as a yoga teacher.
Now a tutor for Yoga Scotland, she has written for the Huffington Post, YOGA, and Om Yoga magazines and co-founded voicesofyoga.com with yoga podcasts listened to in over 70 countries. Lindsey has also been the honorable recipient of Woman of Inspiration award 2019 from the Association of Scottish Business Women and was a finalist in the UK Rising Star Awards 2019.
Come and join Lindsey on her journeys and find out why the best travel tales are often unexpected.

Great book!
loved this book.
Its an insight into Lindsey's early travel adventures and life lessons read in her own soft and gentle voice.
I got a bit emotional listening to some parts and smiled during other adventures. Worth listening to. Definitely recommended!

Excellent
This book is engaging from the start. From her experience to taking magic mushrooms, to breaking a bone on the side of a volcano in Equador, she keeps you surprised at every step of the journey.
She is also the perfect reader for the audiobook- having a calm but interesting voice.
Especially enjoy her journey into Yoga.
Found it quite inspiring overall!

An excellent way to travel during lockdown
Thank you Lindsay for sharing your wonderful adventures. I particularly loved the details of your time in the Ashram. This was a perfect book for lockdown living and has me excited to get exploring once the restrictions are lifted. Namaste
