About this listen
From a USA Today best-selling author comes a standalone in the Sweet Sin series.
The lives of Dean Wagner and Tatum Fields have been ruled by the hand of fate.
The past six years of my life have been consumed by guilt. Since we lost Landon to a fire, I’ve done everything in my power to protect my daughter, Leila, from finding out the truth about how her twin brother died. Nothing in my life means more to me than her.
Not my band, not my reputation. Nothing.
Until I see Tatum, the woman I saved on the beach the same night she dealt with a loss of her own.
The daily routine I’ve settled into is what keeps me going. Work at my chocolate shop, pay the bills, repeat. I don’t date. I don’t trust. And I have never forgotten the man who walked away from saving my life without allowing me to thank him.
I know how to reach him, but I avoid him at all costs.
Until fate decides to make another appearance.
This is a story of how destiny ends up bringing these two souls back together, and how fate, the word very little people believe in is really their friend, after all.

Amazing and Heartfelt!
Dean, I love this character and I'm so glad he has a book. This book had a great storyline and amazing characters I think that both characters a relatable they have both suffered in the own way and it really gives the story a heartfelt feel. I gotta get my hands on book three. This book had great narration. 🎧AudiobookObsession

good story
This story started out promising. I was digging it. The characters were great. Then around end of chapter 15 on it seemed it was all sex are thinking about sex. They would have a conversation and a few seconds in one person would be off thinking about sex. Dont get me wrong I like books with sex, but this seemed to take away from the story . I wanted to know what happened not thensex thoughts. the baggage Dean had seemed to linger way to long in the story. Towards the end it, just fizzled
Lacy and Lorenzo kept me in the book. they both have amazing voices

I love Deans story!!
Dean is the drummer with a famous rock band. He has a tragic story that one reporter wants to say is his fault. He’s tried to take Dean down for years.
Tatum is Sam’s (the reporter) ex. He lied to her and owned up on their wedding day and she left. He broke her heart. Five years later, she met Dean and there was instant chemistry. This sets off a string of happenings that none of them seem to be able to stop or control. Leading to a lot of good and awful things.
Kathy Coopmans is so very good at what she does. I love her writing and there’s not been one story of hers that I’ve read or listened to that I have not loved!!
Lacy Laurel and Lorenzo Matthews were excellent!!!

Brilliant
This rock star book is great. Not much about the music but so much about fame and fortune. It gets you thinking about what people give up to be famous. Written well and fantastic performance’s from both Lacy and Lorenzo.

Dean and Tatum!
Dean has endured a tragic loss and the only thing that has given him the strength to go on is his daughter Layla who he will do anything to protect. On the anniversary of his son’s death he is visiting the one place that gives him peace when he sees a woman in turmoil and can’t help but step in to assist.
Tatum has just realized that she doesn’t know the man she was supposed to marry and is devastated. While her fiancé stands by and watches her turmoil it is a stranger who comes to her rescue and gets her the help she needs.
Six years later they meet again and the connection and chemistry between them is intense. They are connected by one man that neither wants anything to do with but this man is determined to not only destroy their love but their lives as well.
This is an emotional story about heartbreak and hope. Both of these characters have endured tremendous pain but emerged stronger because of that and deserve to be happy together. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought the narrators did a great job of bringing the drama and angst of the story to life.
