Summary

The first book in the classic vigilante action series from a "writer who spawned a genre" (The New York Times).

Overseas, Mack Bolan was dubbed "Sgt. Mercy" for the compassion he showed the innocent. On the home front, they're calling him the Executioner for what he's doing to the guilty.

In the jungles of Southeast Asia, American sniper Mack Bolan honed his skills. After 12 years, with 95 confirmed hits, he returns home to Massachusetts. But it's not to reunite with his family, it's to bury them - victims in a mass murder/suicide. Even though Bolan's own father pulled the trigger, he knows the old man was no killer. He was driven to madness by Mafia thugs who have turned his idyllic hometown into a new kind of war zone.

Kept me engaged

Kept engaged throughout, well narrated and the story moves at a pace. Keeps you guessing about the outcome.

War Against the Mafia............

I remember reading this book (and the rest) years ago and they were all great! Didn't know If I wanted to hear this book read to me because I enjoyed reading them, however, it was done very well; just one point I'll come to in a minute.
It was narrated as If he was a war veteran and not just reading the line off a sheet of paper, the only thing for me was that at times he sounded too much like John Wayne, apart from that it was excellent.
Now, onto Book 2.............

A Compendium of Corny Lines and Dull Plots

I see why audible doesn’t charge for this. But I can’t believe this is actually published. The most obvious and dull plot line with clunkiest narrative. Truly terrible.
