Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Want to Play? by P. J. Tracy, read by Sarah Borges.

In this electrifying debut, the slaying of an old couple in small town America looks like one-off act of brutal retribution. But at the same time, in Minneapolis, teams of detectives scramble to stop a sickeningly inventive serial killer striking again in a city paralysed by fear.

When the two separate investigations converge on an isolated catholic boarding school, decades old secrets begin to fall away. It seems an old killer has resurfaced. Yet still the killer's real identity remains dangerously out of reach ...

Player participation

Excellent first of a brilliant series. Having read the original a few years ago I decided that it was time to re-read them and as I have problems holding a book audible was the answer. The narrator is perfect for the series a male voice would not
have held one's attention like Ms Borges.
Well worth the listen

Very good story

I read this series years ago and have been delighted to see them released on Audible. Good characters, well rounded, and an excellent story, I had forgotten the twists so was still taken by surprise.

Still a Good story on revisiting

Having read this book ( and the rest in the series) many years ago I was delighted to see it on Audible.

I have to say, I enjoyed it as much now as I did on first reading it.

An interesting story of murder, set around a group of computer geeks with a hidden history.

A good read

Brilliant Thriller

I first read the paperback version of this many years ago and was blown away by the brilliantly conceived story.
listening to the audiiobook edition has elevated the story due to the amazing narration.

The first of an excellent series of audiobooks

I'm biased because I have always loved these books, which have intriguing plots and likeable main characters ... the inter-character banter is occasionally a bit naff but, overall, this is a wonderful series available as audiobooks at last and with an excellent, unobtrusive narrator ... Want to Play is an engrossing stand-alone whodunnit but also provides background information about the regular characters and sets the scene for the books that follow ...

Luckily I’d already read this...

Great story not so great narration. I won’t be purchasing any more audio books in this series. I’d rather use the voices in my own head to tell the story.
