Summary

Superb entertainment!!
J D Robb is the most amazing author. Her ability to create characters who get into your head and heart is addictive!! This series just gets better and better but it is so dark and gritty only lightened by the amazing characters and their continually growing relationships.
Heart wrenching and warming all at the same time!!
Brilliant narration really brings this grizzly tale to vivid life!

Frightening
The level of crazy in this book was incredible not only the son who did the killing but the mother who indoctrinate the son. After all she was going to be a nun so the son she had was a message from God that they had to avenge her husbands death.

Shades of Grey?
enjoying the series but the more it goes on I wonder if this is where the LJ James got her idea for Fifty Shades of Grey. millionaire - Working Girl. lots of sex scenes but without the S&M of Grey. I like the stories but sometimes the sex scenes get a bit boring and skip over them to get back to the story.

Another superb novel
Lieutenant Eve Dallas excels in this story as she demonstrates her love and loyalty to her husband, Roarke, her professionalism as she steps in to defend Somerset, the butler she dislikes, and retains her integrity and strong sense of self as she navigates through the investigation that hits rather close to home.

Brilliant as usual

Personal, suspensful, terrifying

No other books compare to these books. The characters are just amazing. I love them.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
I loved when Eve and Roarke had a huge row after she locked him out of the bedroom.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Eve said she agreed with what he had done in the past.
