Summary
Who's the fairest of them all?
Young women from every settlement in the land are being handpicked to enter The Pageant, a contest reminiscent of Miss Universe from the old days. Gwyneth West's social-climbing mother wants her to compete, but Gwyn isn't so sure....
The Pageant is government-sponsored. If you're lucky enough to be chosen, participation is mandatory. Aggressive competition is allowed, even encouraged.
And then there's the prize...
Dallas Black, otherwise known as The Dark Prince, will propose to the winner. Dallas is the son of King Black, who won the last world war and governs the new settlements.

Vampire's
As usual I have just finished this Book and I Loved it felt sorry at first for Gwyneth But was very Hopeful for her by the end of this book and looking forward to the next one

A good story, well narrated
Picked the book up free and added the audio for a couple of pounds, well worth it, A good story with an excellent narrator, Made me want to find out what happens next.

Surprising twists and turns
This book was gotten on an impulse but I was surprised on how good this first book was, looking forward on next in series. Loving the main character of Gywneth.
