Summary

Willow Mayson isn’t ready to just dive head first into love, or at least not with any of the men she’s dated. Then she shares a single unexpected kiss with a complete stranger.

Clay Raven doesn’t want the strings of a woman tied to him in any way. His priorities are his family, his job, and finding the people responsible for helping kill his sister. One kiss shouldn’t have the ability to change that.

Even with the chemistry between them, Willow attempts to put distance between her and Clay, but the guy is tenacious...until he’s not. For a guy who’s never put much effort into any woman, Clay learns quickly that he’s going to have to fight, chase, and manipulate his way into Willow's life if he wants to be a part of it.

Then, just when Willow begins to let her guard down, her friend is murdered, setting off a string of events that could change the course of their lives forever.

Good book

Another intense and heartbreaking story in this ongoing series. Great characters and I love catching up with some of our favourite characters from previous books. Unfortunately the narration was poor when doing the female character from Clays pov.

please switch narrators...

I love aurora books, but i gotta say the past few stories havent really been able to capture me... This one however, I enjoyed a lot. Both the romantic and the crime aspects of the story were well written. Original again, like in the earlier stories. The only thing I was dissapointed about, was the male narrator. Hes a descent narrator, he just didnt seem right for the character and hs "female voice " is really bad.. His tone is a little too intense and too mature for a a character whose supposed to be 25-35? please just stick with what has worked in the past... Alexander candese, carly Robbins, saskia maarleveld, sebastian york etc, ... the female narrator for this story is okay though!
