Summary
Love him or loathe him, ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson is an icon and one of the most fascinating sporting figures of our time. In this no-holds-barred autobiography, Tyson lays bare his demons and tells his story: from poverty to stardom to hell and back again
In this, his first, autobiography, ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson pulls no punches and lays bare the story of his remarkable life and career. Co-written with Larry Sloman, author of Antony Keidis’s best-selling memoir ‘Scar Tissue’, this is a visceral, and unputdown-able story of a man born and raised to brutality, who reached the heights of stardom before falling to crime, substance abuse and infamy.
Full of all the controversy and complexity that you would expect from a man who delighted as much as he shocked, this is a book that will surprise people and reveal a fascinating character beneath the exterior of violence.
If you think you know all about Mike Tyson, read this book and think again.

Brutally honest. A great book.
Mike Tyson should be proud of this book. It goes deeper than any other biographies I have read (and i have read a few).

Brilliant life story
This book is really entertaining and some of the things that Tyson got up to were just next level. I have to rate the guy as he came from the gutter to make himself a millionaire. I would recommend listening to it as the story flows so well

Great listen
Overall a great listen and very interesting to get his take on things and how he has changed through the years from a young hungry fighter to a toned down father figure now.
The start and middle are brilliant when he’s talking about his childhood and boxing fights however he does use a lot of racist lines which I expected from him although I didn’t like him constantly saying N**** and white people etc…
He does use the book to defend himself in regards to the rape conviction which is fine but it does drag on for many chapters.
Overall a great listen and would recommend but expect lots of racist words/language and derogatory comments towards girls or his many b*tches but it is Mike Tyson and it gives a honest review of himself and his life

insightful and crazy!
A sad story and a great journey, Mike Tyson was a crazy guy. Its a great insight of how it is to grow up in an unstable environment and what it takes to get out but equally what it takes to stay out.
Well done Mike, thanks for sharing.
