Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat...but 1.4 million NHS staff are heading off to work. Touches base as a nhs worker myself
Adam portrays in words what we as healthcare workers feel. At times I've even wondered why don't I just throw in the towel? It touched my heart that even after leaving his medical career he still missed working at Christmas. He has an extra ordinary way to tell his story and I am looking forward to hearing more from Adam (please do keep writing!) I'm sure im not the only healthcare worker moved by your experiences & you make us laugh!!!

More funny and heartbreaking stories
More brilliant wit from Adam Kay, who masterfully demonstrates the sacrifice and hard work NHS staff give us. Love the book and the performance.

Fantastically honest and brutally hilarious! I could listen to this guy all day. We need more honest portrayals in this world.

Happy Christmas Adam Kay style.
I have seen Adam Kay live a few times.. most recently for smutty Christmas songs in 2017.
This Christmas I’m on annual leave from my job as a Nhs nurse, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to let Adam fill my house with comedy medical Christmas anecdotes.
Thanks so much for the laughs..!

a few grim stories but enjoyable on the whole
I got this book on sale for £1 so I was very happy with it. I wouldn't pay much more than a few pounds as it was quite short. it was enjoyable and well read though. I'm definitely going to look up more by the author.

“Laugh out loud” funny and also very moving
A wonderful performance of this really touching and hilarious book. One is given real insights into the incredibly hard jobs of health workers with a lot of hilariously funny moments together with some absolutely tragic ones. One is left in total awe of health workers.

Short
Adam Kay has wonderful comic timing and delivery, and this book is one of the few to ever make me laught out loud on my own. I heartily recommend it; though it is very short (2 hours and a bit) so just be aware of what you're buying.

The book was very short though!

Excellent and heart breaking in parts.
A little shorter than I was expecting. Well read and entertaining but utterly heartbreaking in parts. Recommended if you get it for free or perhaps as a gift.

Giggle-in-public-funny
Don’t wear a face mask while listening to this - Adam has such a dry sense of humour, I ended up cracking mine within a few minutes of listening. Also very touching, as well as funny. My only negative comment would be that it’s not long enough, but that’s simply a sign that it’s excellent - I didn’t want it to end. Please write more, Adam!
