About this listen
Beth and Donovan have come a long way from Hurricane Sabrina and the San Francisco earthquake. Now they are approaching their wedding day and anxiously waiting to promise each other a lifetime of love. The journey down the aisle isn’t smooth, though, as they receive threats from the followers of the notorious criminal, Jackson Storm. They think they’ll be safe in Hawaii, but distance can’t stop these killers. Not even a tsunami can.
This monstrous wave is the most devastating disaster Beth has ever faced. It leaves her beaten, frightened. Is she a widow on her honeymoon? As she struggles to hold herself together and find Donovan, she’s kidnapped by Jackson's men.
Fearing her dead, Donovan searches the rubble and shelters with no luck. The thought of her being swept out to sea is almost too much for him to bear, but the reality is much worse. She’s being used as bait to get him to fall into a deadly trap. If they live through this disaster, they may never be the same again.

Beth & Donovan face another Disaster
Tsunami Crimes by Chrys Fey is the third book in the Disaster Crimes series featuring Beth and Donovan. They are on their honeymoon in Hawaii and Mother-Nature has another disaster yet again for them to face. I love how the author weaves crimes into the stories of disaster. The imagery in this book is so realistic, and the story is well paced with the wedding and honeymoon added in. Bill Nevitt brings Donovan and Beth to life with his distinguishable voices. I like how each book is a standalone listen and builds more depth to the characters.

Exciting Episode
Having listened to the two earlier books I was excited to download this one ready for more in this exciting series. I have to say that this is my favorite installment of this series, so far. This was an exciting rollercoaster and if you have followed the earlier books you know that our heroes have had a lot to contend with already but in this episode, I did wonder, more than usual, if they will come out of this one.
Beth really came into her own more so than in earlier parts of this series showing us just how strong, yet vulnerable and sexy she is going so far as to be the one saving lives, even if she did need someone to save her also. She stayed strong no matter what. I really like both Beth and Donovan who seemed to be more mature in this installment.
This is definitely an emotional rollercoaster taking in highs and lows, full of action, excitement, drama, sadness, love, and loss - there is also a wedding which was lovely and brought a tear (a happy one) to my eye.
The narration by the talented Bill Nevitt really brought this exciting story to life, he has made these characters his own and endows them with such depth. I have no hesitation in recommending this series, but I feel that you do have to listen to or read these books in order to fully enjoy this series of crime thrillers full of romantic suspense.
I was given a copy of this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

"What's real and what's not?."
Better than book two of the series, Tsunami Crimes finds those two unfortunate lovers, Beth and Donovan, preparing themselves for their wedding, followed by a relaxing honeymoon in Hawaii. Rather optimistic given the ferocity with which they are being pursued. But even they were unlikely to anticipate nature's aggression and the tsunami which wretches them apart. Never go on holiday with this couple!
The lovers, frankly, are as intensely annoying as previously but the treatment of the natural disaster itself was terrifying and felt uncomfortably realistic. Narration of this book is again performed by the excellent Bill Nevitt, with pleasant voice and gentle accent, warm, well paced, and conveying both emotion and action, plus with appropriate individual character voicings. His readings are always well worth hearing
My thanks to the rights holder of Tsunami Crimes who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy.

Rouge wave
I listened to book two and wanted to find out what happened next in the story so gave this book ago. Glad I did because I liked the book two but enjoyed this book a lot more. There was less sex scenes than the second book which was what made me give it only a three star. It is the natural disasters that I find so interesting in this series, it is so well written that the story sucks you in. The story contains very strong characters that are developing nicely with each book. I did need a tissue because certain parts of the story tugs at the heart strings. Can't wait to start the next book.
Beth and Donovan are preparing for there big day but with crank phone calls and someone trying to run Beth off the road, Beth is worried that there wedding day might not be the happy occasion she dreamt of. Donovan visits the man behind the intimidation in jail, only to find out that he has put targets on both there backs. The couple go through with the wedding and hope that a month away on there honeymoon means that the hired hit men won't be able to find them and the police would have plenty of time to round them all up. A few men track them to Hawaii and are about to take them out when a Tsunami hits the island. The warning system failed and many residents and tourist are affected. Can the couple keep there head above water?
Bill Nevitt is a very talented narrator and a great choice as the reader. He does a very good job expressing the emotion and he takes you on a roller coaster of a ride with this book.

An enjoyable read
Another adventure for Beth and Donovan - but this one is on their honeymoon! One of my worst fears is being caught in a Tsunami so I found the story quite scary but the intrepid pair come out on top. An enjoyable read apart from their more intimate moments which I skipped over.

Tsunami Crimes
The depiction of the Tsunami disaster was good and seemed to go into some details. It wasn't a shortly written disaster like in the previous book. The moments of romance/passion didn't seem to fit within the timing of the disaster filled story, and at times was over the top and unnecessary. A common theme in this series is that some of the storyline is extremely unrealistic. For ex, Beth throws down her tiny bracelet and wedding ring in the middle of nowhere when she is kidnapped, and Donovan finds both despite the chaos of the Tsunami. The fact that they where able to find her specific tracks when they didn't know when she was kidnapped and where to start looking for her, tracking her directly to her location is so far fetched it's ridiculous.
I would consider book 3 better than the previous one just because much of the focus was on the disaster and had lots more action. Also I don't think the narrators pleasant, upbeat voice matches the violent, dangerous nature of these books. Overall this story is just ok.

Another enjoyable romp
This is my second date with Donovan and Beth, having previously listened to book 2, Seismic Crimes. Much as I enjoy hearing about their escapades, I don't want to be friends with this couple. Everywhere they go some sort of natural disaster occurs! This was another fast paced adventure with a wedding and honeymoon thrown in. I thought the feelings expressed by both characters on their impending nuptials were very sweet; it made me try to cast my mind back to my pre-wedding emotions and hope that I'd felt the same meeting of souls, bodies and minds. Look, I'm not going to tell you that this is Shakespeare, but as a break from my usual fare of murder, mayhem, blood, guts and gore, it's a treat. The narration, by the brilliant Bill Nevitt, lifts the story to a higher level and I'm always impressed and amazed by how he manages to make Beth sound so feminine without recourse to any falsetto. All in all a super story and nearly 8 hours of pure escapism that will lift your spirits. Well worth a listen.
